The Therapeutic Support Classroom, at Winton Elementary, is designed for students who require on-going support in the areas of social skills, emotional regulation, and student work habits. Students are provided with individualized supports designed to meet their learning goals, in a classroom with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Students access general education classes when they are ready to join a larger group environment. The staff within the Therapeutic Support Classroom (TSC) Program work collaboratively with colleagues, students, families and community agencies by providing each student with a safe educational environment, by accepting and valuing each individual learner, and by helping each student navigate his/her school day successfully.
