Lake City High School

Home of the Timberwolves

We invest in each student to prepare, challenge and advance well-educated, resilient and future-ready citizens.

Philosophy

The philosophy of Lake City High School is to provide activity programs which meet the needs and interests of its students.  As a school we will encourage the participation of interested students.  Lake City high School participates in the Inland Empire League.  with this in mind, we will promote a high level of competition.

It will be the school's aim to encourage student participation.  This will be done by providing and equipping as many teams as we can to allow interested students to participate.  It will also be our aim to be competitive with any activities program in the state of Idaho.  This will be accomplished by providing the highest quality coaches and equipment for each team.

We will strive to be part of a well-supervised, competitive activity league.  Through competition and participation, we will promote the interest and desire of our athletes to improve their activity abilities.  Properly supervised competition will provide social, emotional and physical opportunities.  In addition to developing abilities, team members will develop self-discipline, emotional control and sportsmanship.  Finally, we believe every practice or competition is to be a learning experience for our students.  Through these experiences we will develop motivated, competent ladies and gentlemen who can work with and relate to other human beings.

A Message from Jim Winger, Athletic Director

Lake City High School is dedicated to offering an outstanding activities program to young men and women of this school.  It is the school's belief that there should be a proper balance between the academic and activity programs offered to the young people at Lake City High School.  A properly-balanced and well-supervised activities program will provide social, emotional and physical growth opportunities for those wishing to participate.  Lake City High School will take the responsibility for providing a program which represents the interests of its students; and a program in which the school philosophy can be implemented to its fullest as guided by district and state policy.

Lake City High School will adhere to all rules and regulations of the Idaho High School Activities Association.
